Text-to-Switch to O2

Switching to O2 could not be any easier, using text-to-switch to retrieve your PAC code

Using your current mobile phone network, simply send a text message with the word PAC to the number 65075

Your current mobile phone network will respond within 60 seconds, sending you a PAC code (switching code) that is valid for 30 days.

Their reply will also include important information – such as any charges that you have to pay if you are leaving your contract early; or your credit balance, if you are a pay-as-you-go customer.

Now you have a PAC code, you can switch to O2 and keep your mobile phone number.

Simply enter your PAC Code into the O2 mobile website form here when ordering your new mobile phone / contract. O2 will take care of the transfer of your existing mobile phone number.

Similarly, if you are switching to O2 using Carphone Warehouse, use the Carphone Warehouse online form here to pass on your PAC code.

Other ways to get your PAC code and switch

If you are unable to use the text-to-switch facility, for example your phone is not working, then you can also retrieve your PAC Code and switch to O2 the old way – see PACcodes.co.uk – for detailed, step-by-step instructions.

Important notes

If you have more than one mobile phone number linked to your account – for example those customers with family mobile packages – you will not be able to request your PAC code using text-to-switch. Instead, to switch to O2 and retain your current mobile phone number, follow the detailed step-by-step instructions on PACcodes.co.uk
